Each Club hook-up bollard is individually protected against overload by a miniature circuit breaker MCB and a residual current device RCD. Other nationalities use blue - these are better in the grass. Badly assembled - cable outer had popped out of one socket. But well made components, opened and closed more carefully for a really strong water-proof?! Works just fine as an extension cable, and the cable is not unduly stiff for winding up.

Check that the end plug and socket are tightly screwed up.
