Episode 31: Is There a Dating Lemon Law?

Why do you think that is? Is it attraction, phermones, what? I can tell within the first 5 minutes whether or not I'd sleep with someone, but not necessarily whether there's long-term compatibility. And if those long-term compatibility issues are significant enough I might decline to see a person again. Long term compatibly is super tough to suss out on a first date. Frankly the lemon law should be extended to the entire first date.

Forcing oneself to be on a date with a dude I'm not vibing with is not cool. I can tell pretty soon if I'm not interested in dating a guy at all, which is most of them.

Welcome to Reddit,

Something about the way they speak and carry themselves. You know how a dog can tell right away if you're scared of it? Kind of like that. Man, I can't even remotely imagine being like this. I don't think I've ever been interested in shipping up with someone that I eventually did without knowing or at least having met them at least 2 months before our first date. You can tell whether they're attractive enough but some people say stupid things at the end of the date, which could take hours. They have 5 minutes to tell me all the terrible things about themselves. Then we decide if we should continue or end the date.

New dating show, I think so. I feel like there was a show about baggage.

I saw it on one night and there was the main person and three others and they would open up suitcases to share their baggage. Heh, perhaps OKC should add a "stupid shit I say that may cause you to avoid me" section. The only thing that I could tell within several minutes if I would want to get naked with them at some point in the future But you're right, boyfriend assessments take much longer. I think that would be a shitty thing to do in general.

And I don't think 5 minutes is actually enough time to know, at all. If the date isn't awful, it's often worth a second chance. A couple of weeks ago I went on a date and within 15 minutes I think we both knew there was no compatability.

However I did feel obligated to stay at least an hour. The date ended up being the longest hour and a half of my life. I know the feeling. I always try to stay for at least an hour on a date. I feel it's the least I can do during the date just to see what happens, even if it doesn't feel like there would be a second one. I wouldn't institute anything from that show into your dating life. If you feel real daring you're welcome to get up and announce you're leaving within 5 minutes of the date.

It takes a special person to do that. I did it once. It was completely warranted and I still felt bad about it. Is it still a thing?

Lemon law dating

Once was enough for me. To be fair I did get one date out of it just one woman out of like 20, and of course it ended in her fading after date 1. But there were several women with whom I could tell there was absolutely no chemistry, even five minutes alone with them was too much. Are you for or against the lemon law in dating? Thelemon law for dating gives a person five minutes to decide if the date will go on for the rest of the night or not.

They can call the date off for any reason in the first five minutes, avoiding bad dates.

I am up for that because I want my date to spend time with me not because she has to but because she wants to. If she doesent like me she's free to go. Is dating in middle school really as horrible as people say?
