Now I feel like that cold open disrupted the flow of the episode by making people disappointed at what they didn't get, instead of grateful for what they did. So that's my personal reason for not really liking it. There were so many great moments in this episode, that I forgot about the opening scene! I trust the writer to give us an explanation The sperm bank and drunk KT was so wonderful!
Put aside the comedic factor, we're given the reason why KT is so desperate to be alone and how vulnerable he is.
I still cannot believe that YWJ is 8 years older than HG -- he's freakishly young looking and she's a beautifully mature actor; they look and feel so perfect and wonderful together. What a great balance. These two will go very far. You know you love a show when you write so much about it without even mentioning one of the best scenes. I felt so bad for him. He's such a smooth guy all the time so whenever he gets uncomfortable or flustered it's even more endearing. GAH, that opening was such a tease. But the scene turned out cute anyway with the whole post-it-notes shenanigans, so it's okay.
Jang Mi and Ki Tae stays as such awesome characters and they soooooo complete each other. I kind of want them to keep delaying the fact that they know they actually like each other so that the endless fun continyes hahaha. Han Groo is such a good actress too, I've never watched any of the leads besides Sunhwa and Yoon So Hee but all of them are refreshing. So selfish, so frustrating, yet so interesting.
She could be doing what she's doing to just get Ki Tae on bed, but I reaaaaalllyyyyy hope she actually wants to live with a baby that's just like her. I really hope she does love herself thaaaat much. That only means that there could be a reason for that, perhaps she just cant trust anyone enough to love them more than she loves herself, and that if she doesn't use her own tricks, she believes she wont get what she want and people will take her for granted like lets say, Jang Mi.
Maybe I'm asking for too much I guess a sneaky clingy spoiled selfish ex as usual for a second lead isn't too bad either. The only people that haven't dug much into their background is gi tae and sa ha so I wouldn't be surprised if more layers were peel in the upcoming episodes.. Se ha and gi tae might have more in common in terms of background but to much similarity jus doesn't work.. Yeah, I dont know why but that last clip of her at the end of the preview hints that smth is gonna go down with Se Ah. Maybe I'm taking this show way too seriously, but I'm curious as to what Se-ah's true motivation is.
Does she really want a baby, or is it Gi-tae she wants, or is it neither of the two? As in, does she merely want somebody to live with, it doesn't matter who, as long as she doesn't have to sacrifice and compromise anything? Both she and Yeo-rum are not merely vain and selfish, I think. They're also scary because they're distrustful towards other people, and they know their physical charm very well to use that for their benefits. They might be all smile, but underneath their surfaces, they're cold, cold people.
I hope the production team doesn't downgrade those two to merely jealous and selfish second leads. Ooh this is getting real good. The leads have this adorable, zippy chemistry and Yun Woo Jin has just become my most recent obsession. Keep up the good work, drama, and I'm sure I'll be hungover after the 16th episode begging for more.
Do not deprive me off YWJ's hot scenes. I really wanted to finish the episodes 1 to 6 last night then suddenly the subs that I have got out of sync by 3 mins by episode 3. Viewing experience totally ruined!
Thanks so much for recapping this show. I am looking forward to seeing them realize why they wouldn't want to be alone I don't like Sunhwa's character, I find her pathetic! I wished writer would make her character look less pathetic and a bit cool!!! I find it so refreshing that these characters obviously know what sex is and there is no problem with a kiss, even if the person you're kissing isn't the one with whom you'll end up with.

Why is he not hugging her with both hands? Is he holding something? I just wasn't buying the sperm thing This was just plain ridiculous.. Splendid job by the lead actress Thanks Lollypip for the recap. This drama is really making me feel giggly and giddy with happiness. It's perfect so far.
And I'm so glad that they are keeping up with the kisses and skinship. It's good in a way to know that Jang Mi and Ki Tae didn't sleep with one another because I rather that they decide to explore that area while sober than drunk. I actually love how the opening scene turned out. YWJ was funny-sexy-adorable-and sad at the same time. I can totally picture the writers snickering in the back room while they wrote the intro sequence. They better make it up to us in the next episodes! That kiss at the ending was a bit out of the blue.
Dare I say it? It was a bit awkward that their first kiss was in front of all those people. And though they're all on the fun, quirky side, it's pretty great that each comes in different tones and flavor. I do like mixing genres on a given period, but if having all romcoms mean well thought out, layered characters in plot lines that make sense, then keep 'em coming! I remember when the only good rom-com was Witch's Romance and now we have so many great shows. I really think this one is the best out right now followed by Fated to Love You.
I loved the ending kiss and it was crazy that we were trolled with the beginning but I think it was for the better because it would have been too early in the show for that. I don't totally buy the excuse that all Se Ah wants is a baby.

Idk about her family, but his family is traditional and believes in keeping up appearances. She had already told him years ago she'd use his secrets against him. Se-ah might just have been biding her time, since Ki-tae didn't seem interested in anyone else, and he was still talking to her. She might have said "I don't want to get married either" to fit in with Ki-tae not wanting to marry anyone-- so that she could say they were alike and wanted the same things.
But now that another girl's in the picture, she may be scrambling to regain control before he goes ahead and actually marries Jangmi. Once you're hooked on MND, you can't go back! Turn away fast if you're not too late in!!! My guess on the opening is either it will be explain later on OR this is one of KT's imagination at the hospital, holding his cup, and imagining JM and him getting hot and steamy so he can get "high" and "release pressure" Wahh MND, what have you done to me!?!?!
